WADHAKIR ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Islamic mobile application and related services.
Location & Notifications
Wadhakir uses your device location (with your permission) to calculate prayer times and show accurate Qibla direction. Location data is used only for these features and is stored locally on your device unless you choose to share it.
The app requests notification permission (Android 13+) and may ask you to allow exact scheduling for timely prayer reminders. You may revoke any permission at any time via system settings.
Exact Alarm Permission (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM)
Wadhakir schedules daily prayer reminders that must occur at precise times. We use SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM to ensure Adhan and prayer notifications trigger accurately even when the device is idle. Users are shown an in-app explanation before the system prompt and may decline or disable this permission anytime through system settings.
Audio & Offline Files
Quran recitations and Tafsir content available for streaming may be downloaded for offline listening. Downloaded audio files are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded or shared with anyone.
Data & Sharing Policy
Wadhakir does not collect personal user data for analytics and does not share location or personal data with third parties. All data remains on your device and under your control.
Third-Party Services & Licensing
WADHAKIR may use third-party services for maps and location functionality. These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them. We do not share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Content Licensing: The Quranic text is based on authentic Islamic sources. Recitation audio features renowned Qaris (Quran reciters). Tafsir content includes scholarly interpretations. All content is used in accordance with Islamic principles and proper attribution.
Children's Privacy
WADHAKIR is designed for users of all ages, including children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. The app's Islamic content is educational and appropriate for all family members.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the app and updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy.
